Echoes of an Advocate #2

Image
'Raw Honesty' This post is part of my series, 'echoes of an advocate'. I don't think it can be called a series, but it's a title I'll be giving to posts in which I rant. So it's up to you whether you decide to read the rants or not. And within the post, I can give the rant a title or theme. I decided to call this one 'raw honesty' because I was annoyed when I wrote it (about 4 days ago) and I said a lot of honest and personal things. Hence 'honesty' but also ' raw' because it's unfiltered. So, enjoy reading what I wrote a few days ago. P.S. Don't try to understand anything. It'll be incoherent like a rant would normally be haha, so don't engage in brainpower. P.S.S Spoiler alert! I talk about a character from the Kdrama 'My Unfamiliar Family'.  If you intend to watch it, proceed at your own risk. **************************************************************************************** Even though it's go...

Workout Hack: Vacuums

Image
If you aren't already doing this, then you SHOULD!! If you're somewhat similar to me and you're pretty inconsistent with working out, then this will help you. It's a hack that will ensure you don't lose progress during your unmotivated moments. It will also be good if you add it alongside your routines. If you're curious to know the one thing you can do to not lose your workout progress, or increase your workout progress, then stick around. I discovered this "hack" during my workout phase a few years ago. It was a phase where I researched and watched pretty much anything exercise and health-related. I tried to implement the routines and had a pretty consistent home workout routine. During my leisure time, I still absorbed workout routines and techniques through YouTube videos. So during my phase, I came across a YouTuber called Vicky Justiz. And honestly to this day, I would recommend her to everyone because I've seen quick results with her YouTube...

Outlets

Image
Heyy long time no see! (이봐요, 오랜만이에요!) You're probably confused by the title "outlets". I haven't posted for 2 months and all of a sudden, I show up with a random title like that. Well, this is kinda like a rant to express what's on my mind right now and this may also express why I haven't posted in 2 months. However, the main reason I haven't posted in 2 months is, of course, due to the ever-increasing workload and no time to carry out my grand personal ideas. ************************************************** Before I go on, allow me to define an outlet. One definition is "an opening or passage by which anything is let out; vent; exit." Essentially, an outlet is where things pass through. An outlet could be drainage or sewer. Or, "a means of expressing one's talents, energy, or emotions". In this case, for some people, their outlet is through something they love like art or sports. A lot of people talk ab...

New Year, New Me...?

Image
New Year, New Me...? That's something we all hear whenever a new year comes around but it's not something I believe in. I don't think it's possible for someone to be a completely new person every year. I'm not the only one who doesn't like that phrase because a lot of people prefer to say, 'new year, new and improved me'. That phrase is a little better but personally, I'll go with new year, same me but upgraded :) I just realized I jumped right into it without an introduction, so here we go. **************************************************************************************************** Hello, hi how are you doing? How's life? (reply in the comments down below) Happy new year and decade! I hope your 2020 has been amazing so far! It's me teenagehood misfits, alive once again. Since I'm alive again after a long while, a new life update is long overdue with a mix of some new years resolutions (NYR). Firstly,...

Me, People & Friends

Image
*DISCLAIMER* Before I begin, I usually adopt a tone in which I'm advising you (the readers) because it's easier for me and helps me get my tenses, pronouns and point of views correctly. You are, of course, under no obligation to follow anything I say because everyone goes through different things. All of the "advice" I'll be giving is based on the knowledge of my experiences, so you all should take with a pinch of salt.  My views will probably change as I get older and experience things differently. A lot of us tend to put too much weight and importance on things that are somewhat mediocre to other people such as friendships. Not everyone shares the same values or ideas on friendships like others do hence we tend to overthink certain things that happen.  Let me explain with a bit of context.  I used to do this but I eventually learnt and stopped doing it. That is, thinking people value me as much as I value them. For example, I used to be rea...
