New Year, New Me...?
That's something we all hear whenever a new year comes around but it's not something I believe in. I don't think it's possible for someone to be a completely new person every year. I'm not the only one who doesn't like that phrase because a lot of people prefer to say, 'new year, new and improved me'.
That phrase is a little better but personally, I'll go with new year, same me but upgraded :)
I just realized I jumped right into it without an introduction, so here we go.

Hello, hi how are you doing? How's life? (reply in the comments down below)
Happy new year and decade! I hope your 2020 has been amazing so far!
It's me teenagehood misfits, alive once again. Since I'm alive again after a long while, a new life update is long overdue with a mix of some new years resolutions (NYR).
Firstly, I'll start off with reintroducing myself and updating the information from my last life update, however I won't go into the details of my feelings and such here because this is just an appetizer. You'll get the main course next month π.

So hey, I'm Chinaza (an INFJ), and I'm still 17 - 18 in 3 months though!
I'm currently in the first year of my Psychology Bachelor program in the Netherlands. I've been here since September, so I will share my feelings regarding living in a new place but I'll tell you all that in the future.
As far as hobbies go, I can't really say much on that since I haven't been doing anything but I'll address some of those when I begin to talk about my 2020 resolutions.
I'm very open-minded and I like a lot of things.
I have a huge sweet tooth, but I think I have some self-control otherwise my weight would've skyrocketed by now.
I have a huge sweet tooth, but I think I have some self-control otherwise my weight would've skyrocketed by now.
So to conclude my self-introduction, 95% of the things I said I do and/or like are either nonexistent in my life right now or I lost interest in those things. (I know some of my friends can relateπΆ)
Now let's get into the good part; I'll try to keep it short by only including 3 of my NYR.
Now here are some of my new years resolutions (NYR). Some might say, 'right so a bunch of goals you'll never achieve'. And to that I say, 'get behind me Satan'.
But in all seriousness though, I made them short and super specific this time. Thus, I'd have to be the laziest human if I couldn't do this much.
I'll list them out and give a short explanation for why I included each one.
- Watch less things + read more books (20 books)
So I decided that I should try to cut back my screen time because my eyesight is really bad compared to what it was last year. However, I knew I would probably fail miserably (I already am) so I combined it with reading books (paper books that aren't compulsory for school).
So, reading books will compensate for my watching. So if I'm able to stay on track with reading 20 books by the end of this year, then I won't bother too much with my watching (I'll still try to reduce screen time of course).
So far I've read 2 books so I'm on track (and watched a lot too of course).
Update: I just checked my phone screen time, and it's honestly alarming. I would check my laptop screen time if I knew how to, but for now I NEED to limit my phone screen time.

- Eat healthy - try new recipes
That may seem broad BUT in my head that literally means adding at least one vegetable or fruit to my diet. I don't like vegetables but I want to eventually have a plant-based diet. I need to start small in order to get there, so I started with 2 fruits so far. I'll eventually slowly add more per week.
- Post a blog at least once a month
Blogging / writing in general has been a hobby of mine which I haven't been paying attention too because I focused too much on studies. I started this blogging thing at the end of 2017, yet I only have 4 published posts and a lot of scattered ideas around. Of course my new years resolutions since 2017 has always been to blog, but I've always put too much pressure on myself that I never got round to achieving my goals. Based off of some advice which I acquired from a self-help book, I've decided to set mini achievable goals hence a blog per month is good enough, even if it means whipping something up last minute like I'm doing now. I'll still make sure to at least post something by the end of every month - so I'll probably literally publish the posts on the last day of each month because 'procrastination is a lifestyle'.
There are some other NYR which I wrote down in my journal but I promised to keep this short, so I won't include everything now. I might include them in future blog posts if any of the topics I write about are related. I don't know what topics I'll write about yet though, so I'm just as curious as you are to see what future me will create π.

Anyway, that concludes my short update.
Thank you to those that have been reading and/or keeping up with my blog so far.
Inconsistency shouldn't be a problem anymore, because I think one post per month is a decent goal.
Here's ⬇️ a copy-pasted blog ending from my previous life update because we gotta reuse, reduce and recycle ♻️. (I'm just lazy really)
If you have any ideas of topics I should write about then please share in the comments section down below or reach out to me social media. If you would like your opinions and/or thoughts to feature in segments for a specific topic (like I've done in the past) then let me know what topics and I'll be sure to reach out to you when said topics arise.
Here's a proverb I'm currently living by:
"Where there's a will, there's a way"
Never forget that you're loved π
